Real Intimacy

Earlier this year our ministry was doing a series on intimacy - what intimacy is and isn't and at the same time while reading the Old Testament I came across this verse.
Moses was speaking to the people of Israel and explaining to them why they should follow God's law for their nation.
"For what other great nation has gods that are intimate with them the way God, our God, is with us, always ready to listen to us?"
Deuteronomy 4:7 (the message)
God has definitely been teaching me about intimacy with him. I hope this verse hits you the same way it has hit me.
