New Year's Eve 08
2:57 AM Posted by Joylene GreenLabels: fun, personal
ahhh. New Year's Eve.
I have to admit to a couple things: First I am astonished that another year has gone by already. Second, I am surprised and confused that it is already 2008. I feel like as I get older the years go faster. Is it just me or does everyone else remember the Y2K like it was so recent?
Anyhow, I am wondering what everyone thinks about New Year's resolutions. I typically am not too fond of resolutions as they last for me for about 3 weeks. But I do think that it is a great time to re-evaluate your life, celebrate any successes over the last year and set some goals for another year.
What are your goals for 2008? (remember that when you write your goals and consider them you are much more likely to achieve them!)

My goal is to write a book--one page a day. Just for the discipline of doing it!
Hi Joylene,
I'd be happy to send you a copy, but I only have it on hard copy. I'll be at Bellevue the day after tomorrow, so if you want to let us know your address I can try to send you a photocopy of the report. Let me know.
Thanks!
Joylene, I'm with you. I'm not a fan of resolutions because mine usually don't last past Martin Luther King, Jr. Day! However, I am about goals. I am trying to incorporate one goal until I master it...you know, make it a habit. I did that with exercising over two years ago and I'm still going strong!
And yes, it seems like the Y2K scare was just yesterday. I worked at a bank so we were all in panic mode.
Happy New Year!
Honestly...the Y2K thing cracked me up. People were storing up water, buying generators, etc. I laugh when I think about it now.
Kate - writing a book seems like an awesome goal. cool.
Cindy - It's a pretty huge and great accomplishment to have accomplished such an important goal. That's one I definitely want to achieve.
I want to be in the complete center of God's will--regardless of how hard it may be. I want to grow spiritually more this year than I ever have.
I want to be skinny AGAIN....bad!
In that order...:o)
