This is an incredibly vivid illustration... wow! The amazing thing is that God is chasing us like that more so than we are chasing him/her (God).
We heard a speaker on the radio recently talking about joy--he used the illustration of how excited your dogs are when you come home. Jumping up and down, scratching at the door waiting for you to come in. That's the kind of joy we should have in our Christian life when we consider all that God has done for us.
